KISHTWAR: Continuing with the endeavour to promote peace, tranquility and to evolve an environment of brotherhood and harmony among various communities and also instill a spirit of physical fitness and sportsmanship, a ‘Run for Kishtwar’ was organised by the Indian Army on Sunday at Chowgan Ground, here.
The event was flagged off by army official from the historical Chaugan Ground, Defence Spokesperson,Lt Col Devender Anand said adding that the event included five categories for different age groups for men and women ranging from 2.4 Kms to 5 Kms.
In all, 1500 people apart from army and civil dignitaries took part in the event, he said.
On culmination of the run event, prizes were given to the winners and runner ups of all categories.
