STATE TIMES NEWS LEH: As a part of ongoing commemoration of 20th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Drass Warriors Brigade of Army conducted a medical camp for locals of Goshan village in Drass sector here on Monday. The camp was yet another way of expressing gratitude by the Army towards people of Drass area for the unstinting support given by them to the Army during ‘Operation Vijay’ in 1999. The mutual respect and bond between the ‘Army and Awam’ has grown stronger over the years and both have been benefited from the symbiotic relationship. The Army has always shown concern and remained supportive of the locals in the spirit of ‘Army for Awaam’. Presence of a lady doctor in the medical camp was a boon for womenfolk of these villages, who attended the camp in large numbers. A total of 57 elderly people, 75 infants and 98 women were benefited amongst 230 plus individuals, who were examined during the medical camp.
