STATE TIMES NEWS KISHTWAR: In an endeavour to increase communication with veterans of the region, Indian Army organised an Ex-Servicemen Meet at Bhandarkut, Kishtwar. About 30 Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris, widows and their dependents attended the meet. During the meet, the Army officials conveyed points related to various schemes and programmes which are beneficial to them and their families. The meet was aimed at addressing relevant issues pertaining to health services of the veterans, acquainting them with various schemes and plans for enhancing quality of life even after retirement. During the meet, routine medical check-up and distribution of medicines was also organised. A handbook on compilation of all ex-gratia/welfare schemes for widows/ Ex-Servicemen was distributed to widows and Ex-Servicemen during the meet. The meet was an endeavour by the Army to address the grievances of Ex-Servicemen and dependents.
