STATE TIMES NEWS BHADARWAH: Army with an aim to empower the women through skill development opened a Women Empowerment Centre at Bhadarwah. A total of 50 women aspirants from Bhadarwah and nearby villages have been registered in the first batch for training in computers, pickle making, knitting and tailoring. The aim of establishing the women empowerment center was upliftment and empowerment of women from educationally and economically disadvantaged background, through skill development, generate employment options and make them self reliant. Speaking on the occasion prominent opinion makers opined that the project will be of immense help in generating self-employment for under privileged women and contribute in attainment of national goals of skill generation, women empowerment and employment. The Women Empowerment Centre will give the women an opportunity to earn an honourable livelihood thus generating a sense of financial security and well-being amongst them.
