STATE TIMES NEWS LAM: The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion conducted an ex-servicemen rally under the aegis of Headquarter counter insurgency Force (uniform) at Lam on Sunday. The rally was organised so as to interact with maximum Ex-Serviceman residing in the border area in Lam,Laroka, Jhanger, Pukharni, Qila Darhal, Bhawani and obtain direct grievance from the Ex-serviceman and also to disseminate latest Welfare schemes of defence forces, Central and state Government. About 250 ex-serviceman, Veer Naris, war Widows and their dependents participated in the rally. Commander of the battalion was the Chief Guest while eminent government officials from the civil administration include ASP Nowshera, Tehsildar Qila Dhral, BMO, ZEO, SHO. Branch Manager SBI Nowshera, Sarpanchs and opinion maker of nearby villages also attended the rally. The august gathering boosted the morale of the ex-serviceman and their dependents. Various stall including grievance cell, ECHS helpline, Zilla Sanik Welfare Organisation Information Center, Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture, Sericulture and Horticultural Department. Banking awareness enclosure (SBI Bank), Medical assistance and CSD counter were established. Representation from Zila Sanik Board Rajouri and ECHS Rajouri and Station Headquarter Nowshera interacted with Ex-Serviceman and highlighted various welfare scheme. The chief guest, during his speech guaranteed all possible backing to the ex-Serviceman and their wards. Veers Naris and War Widows were facilitated by given them Shawals.
