POONCH: Army organised a lecture on ‘Internet and Cyber Crimes’ at Youth Centre, Chhatral wherein students and youth from Chhatral and adjoining villages attended the lecture.
The aim of this lecture was to spread awareness about various types of Malwares, Adwares, virus, worm and other ways to steal personal data and make audience aware about various types of cyber / Internet crimes prevalent in the era of information warfare and measures to prevent cyber crimes like hacking, ransom ware, espionage, financial theft, phishing activities and other internet related crimes.
Precautions while using the social media to include Facebook, WhatsApp etc was discussed in detail and measures like using genuine Softwares, Firewalls, Antivirus etc and the importance of not sharing passwords was explained. The students enthusiastically participated in the discussion and clarified their queries.
