STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI: As part of Skill Development initiative, a “Computer Hardware and Mobile Repairing Course” was conducted for twenty five boys and nine girls of Galuthi in Rajouri District for a period of 30 days. The four week course was aimed to impart basic skills related to maintenance and repair of mobile phones and computer hardware to empower youth hailing from remote areas of Galuthi to become self-reliant and enable them to earn a respectable livelihood. During the course, the youth were also informed that Army has aligned its efforts to the initiatives of State and Central Government and focused on conduct of accredited courses with recognised certification which shall help the youth optimally in utilising the opportunities offered. On 18 Jul 19, culmination of the course was marked with the awarding of certificates from National Skill Development Council (NSDC) to all successful participants. The youth were happy with the initiative and expressed their gratitude to the Army for enabling them to enhance employment opportunities. Such initiatives by Indian Army will go a long way in ushering an era of peace and stability in the region.
