STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Army Public School (APS) Damana organised prize distribution phase-II on Friday. The programme commenced with the welcome of the Guest of Honour, Dr. Renu Gupta, former Principal APS Damana, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, escorted by Pushpinder Kaur, Principal APS Damana and Shallu Kapoor, Vice-Principal. Saraswati Vandana enthralled the cosmos with the aroma of sanctity and didacticism. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony wherein the Guest of Honour felicitated the meritorious students with the prizes, medals and certificates for showing the excellence in the various Inter-House competitions at national and international levels. The prodigious pedagogues were also felicitated with the Certificates of Excellence conferred by the British Council for contributing their efforts in helping the school to reach the zenith of success. This was followed by a fascinating classical dance performance which was highly applauded by all. The Guest of Honour addressed the students and staff of the school to adopt the optimistic approach and accept the challenges and consider them as a stepping stone in their journey of success and gave the best wishes to class X and XII for the upcoming Board Exams. The ceremony was culminated in a beautiful resonance with the vote of thanks by Nirmal Sharma, CCA Incharge and National Anthem exhibiting great pride and exuberance.
