JAMMU: Association of Industries (AoI), Gangyal, Jammu expressed concern over the fallout of the scheme of budgetary support under the GST regime issued by Department of Industrial Policy Promotion (DIPP), Government of India.
In the meeting held here on Thursday, Senior Vice President, Bansi Lal Gupta said that the notification issued by Central Government is an eyewash and no benefit is visible in the scheme for the industry. The members requested the government to issue SRO / notification of SGST refund at the earliest. “As the micro and small industry has paid GST taxes for two months and their CC limits has already exhausted and if the already paid GST is not refunded, the industry will be unable to pay the taxes for the month of September-2017,” they said.
The members appealed to the Chief Minister, Mehboba Mufti to approach the Central Government for issuance of fresh notification, so that new industry can be set up in J and K for the development of the State as there is nothing in the notification dated October 5, 2017 for the industry. The meeting was attended by Ashok Jain Vice President, Pardeep Vaid General Secretary and Sandeep Ohri Secretary, Balbir Gupta Ex-chairman, FoIJ, Tejwant Singh Reen, Anil Gupta, Ganesh Koul and Kuldeep Ohri.
