JAMMU: Ajay Sadhotra, former Minister, called on Governor N. N. Vohra, here on Tuesday.
Sadhotra raised various matters relating to the functioning of the administrative apparatus, urgent steps required to be taken for the resolution of problems being faced by the public and issues relating to the speedy economic development of the State.
Meanwhile, Prof. Nirmal Gupta, Chairperson, J&K State Social Welfare Board (JKSSWB), called on the Governor and briefed him about the varied activities undertaken by the Board in the past months.
Appreciating the work being done the Governor stressed the importance for the State Board to vigorously pursue and effectively implement the various Central and State Government welfare schemes and programmes which are aimed at alleviating the condition of the destitutes, disabled, widows and orphans in the State.
