STATE TIMES NEWS POONCH: Army celebrated annual day function at Army Goodwill School, Potha in Poonch district. AGS, Potha established in year 2001 is a premier educational institute in Surankote and adjoining areas. The AGS, Potha is providing free and subsidized education and other allied amenities to approximately 200 students from BPL, needy and under privileged sections of society. AGS, Potha is the only school in Poonch district to have modern classrooms installed with smart TV’s and internet. The conference hall of this school caters for interactive classes and counselling sessions for the students. In addition to other amenities like well-equipped library and science laboratories this school has a unique computer museum. The function involved the students of the school giving a spectacular performance enriched with soothing music, attractive costumes and graceful dances. The chief guest addressed the gathering and felicitated the students for their outstanding performance in academics and extracurricular activities. Students and Teachers from Army Goodwill School, thanked the Indian Army for its support and contribution towards uplifting educational standards of the school. Prominent personalities of civil administration of nearby areas and principals of other schools attended the ceremony. The function finally culminated with an interactive session in which parents, students and guests interacted and conveyed their gratitude for the educational support being provided to the children.
