DODA: The Agriculture Department Zone Udhyanpur in Doda District on Sunday organised an awareness-cum- training programme for the women at Panchayat Bershalla in Doda.
During the camp, the women farmers of Panchayat Bershalla were informed about the latest technology in crop cultivation and various schemes being implemented in the area by the Agriculture Department.
During the camp, a large number of participants including womens farmers, locals of the area attended the camps.
Incharge Agriculture Extension Officer (AEO) Nadeem Bashir along with AEA Irshad Hussain, AEA Nasir Mintoo, AEA Khalid Saleem, AEA Masood Ahmed, AEA Raja Khalid and AEA Yasir Shafi besides representative from ICICI Lombard Asif Ahmed were present on the occasion.
The officials from Agriculture Department while highlighting the role of department, gave a detailed overview of different schemes being implemented by the department for the betterment of farmers and increasing production and productivity. They were told about schemes and aid provided by the department for crop insurance, agricultural machinery, setting up vermin-compost units through schemes like Kissan Credit Card (KCC) scheme, PMFBY ATMA and others.
