STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: An elderly widow woman sought adequate compensation over the alleged land encroached by the Jammu Municipal Corporation. Briefing media persons here, Subadra Devi, widow of Krishan Singh, resident of Gurah Chabilian alleged that her land measuring eight Marlas situated at Gurha Chabilian, Jammu in which Jammu Municipal Corporation has laid tiles. “I approached the Jammu Municipal Corporation for removal of the aforesaid tiles as the land is exclusively owned and possessed by her. The Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), JMC, has directed the Tehsildar Jammu on December 12, 2018 to demarcate the land under reference and furnish the detailed report, but neither demarcation has been made nor any action has been taken for removal of the tiles,” she alleged. Subadra Devi mentioned she had approached the Court and directions were given to the Tehsildar, Jammu for demarcation of the aforesaid land but nothing has been done till date. She appealed to the Governor Satyal Pal Malik to look into her matter and provide her justice.
