STATE TIMES NEWS UDHAMPUR/RAMBAN: A National Lok Adalat was organised by District Legal Services Authority at District Court Complex Udhampur under the patronage of Justice Gita Mittal, Chief Justice, High Court of J&K, Patron-in-Chief J&K State Legal Services Authority and under the guidance of Justice Rajesh Bindal , Executive Chairman J&K State Legal Services Authority . Cases related to bank matters, recovery suits, summary challans, civil, MACT criminal compoundable and matrimonial cases were taken up and were settled amicably through settlement. In the National Lok Adalat total of 06 benches were constituted in the district. The first bench was comprised of Sh. Sanjay Parihar (Pr. District and Sessions Judge Udhampur) , C.L Bavoria ( Addl. District and Session Judge Udhampur) and Anil Kumar Goyal (Advocate) while the second bench has Smt. Sandeep Kour (Secretary (Sub Judge) District Legal Services Authority Udhampur), Ramesh Lal ( Sub Judge Special Mobile Magistrate Udhampur) and J.D Salathia (Bar President ) Beside it bench No.3 comprised of Ajay Kumar (District Mobile Magistrate (Traffic) Udhampur) , Sh. Junaid Mir Munsiff JMIC Udhampur and Advocate Shivani Mahajan . Bench No 04 comprises of Archana Charak Sub-Judge Ramnagar and K.D Sharman Retainer Lawyer . Bench No.05 comprise of Anjana Rajput, Addl. Special Mobile Magistrate ( in- charge Munsiff Majalta) and Advocate Mohan Lal Gupta . Bench No. 6 comprise of Smt Smati Sharma Munsiff JMIC Chenani A total of 552 cases of different nature were taken up, out of which 284 cases were settled on the spot. An amount of Rs 94,14000 awarded as compensation in MACT cases while a total of Rs.45,600 was realized in various bank cases. Besides, fine amounting Rs 7,98,967 was realised in respect of various criminal compoundable cases. Beside litigants, Bar members, prosecution and staff of courts officers participated in the National Lok Adalat . A National Lok Adalat was held in the District Ramban today under the Chairmanship of Principal District & Sessions Judge who is also the Chairman of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), K.S. Parihar. Two Benches were constituted at District Court Complex Ramban. the first bench was headed by Pr. District and Sessions Judge Ramban, K.S. Parihar and assisted by Munsiff JMIC, Ramban, Geeta Kumari. The 2nd bench was headed by Addl. Special Mobile Magistrate Ramban, Rafaqat Hussain assisted by Advocate A.R. Mushtaq. One bench each for Batote, Gool, Banihal and Ukhral was also constituted. A total no. of 1151 Cases were taken up out of which 271 cases were disposed off. An amount of Rs. 96,04,464/- was released as compensation and fine. A large number of litigants also participated in the National Lok Adalat besides esteemed members of the Bar including the president of Bar.
