JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute’s Centre for Women Entrepreneurship (CWE), Jammu held a valediction ceremony after a fresh batch of aspiring women entrepreneurs completed their three-week training programme here on Monday.
About 32 aspiring women entrepreneurs were trained successfully during the Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) conducted at Dogra Chowk, Exhibition Ground, Jammu Haat under the Seed Capital Fund Scheme (SCFS) and Youth Startup Loan Scheme (YSLS) in Services, Manufacturing and Agri-Allied sectors.
During the valediction ceremony, Director JKEDI Dr. M.I Parray interacted with the participants and received their feedback regarding the training programme.
He also assured the trained aspiring female entrepreneurs that their cases would draw his special attention and he instructed the staff present on the occasion to facilitate timely sanction of their cases.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Parray appreciated the role of JKEDI – Centre for Women Entrepreneurship and called upon youth to take proper advantage of various entrepreneurship development schemes being implemented by the institute.
Besides, Dr Majid Manzoor Khan, Chief Faculty JKEDI, Divya Bushan Trainer at JKEDI and Sajad Ahamd Lone, Course Coordinator were present at the occasion.
The three week EDP was aimed at providing lessons on skill development as well as business cum sector specific, and self-development training to the participants. Expert lectures, market surveys and field visits were also arranged for these candidates so that they could get the exposure to the realistic business environment.
