JKNPP activists staging protest at Jammu.

JAMMU: Accusing the BJP of ruthlessly murdering the self esteem and aspirations of the people of Jammu region to satiate its lust for power, 25 Panthers volunteers tonsured their heads to mourn the political sin committed by the MLAs of the Saffron Party near Maharaja Hari Singh Statue on the eighth day of JKNPP’s relay hunger strike on Monday.
Meanwhile, a batch of several activists from district Kishtwar, Doda and Poonch relieved and replaced their earlier fellow colleagues of district Rajouri to hold the protest against the subjugation of Jammu Pradesh and its youth.
While making a forceful appeal to the Jammuites to oppose and depose the BJP’s juggernaut for its demagoguery and sheer opportunism, Harsh, Chairman JKNPP, said that Saffron Brigade which got overwhelming mandate from Jammu region on the slogan of demolishing the father-daughter Party (Baap-Beti Sarkar) fell flat before the PDP immediately after winning 25 seats from Jammu region and had literally begged before it to accept it as its junior partner. He said that three years BJP’s rule was a sordid tale of failures, betrayals and surrenders with none of its elected representatives raking up the promised issues of Jammu region. Pointing towards the war like situation on borders which had caused unprecedented death and destruction, he lamented that all the election time slogans and promises of BJP had proved hoax. Accusing BJP of having sold its every single slogan and its fundamentals for keeping the unholy alliance intact, he said that while the PDP continued to dictate terms on almost all issues, the BJP leaders remained content with the lollypops of ministries and two flags flying atop their official luxury cars thus making a mockery of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee’s philosophy of Ek Nishan, Ek Vidhan.
Those who tonsured their heads to mourn the BJP’s betrayals include Gagan Partap Singh, Parshotam Parihar, Sewa Singh Bali, Rehmat Choudhary, Sukhjit Singh, Shakti Singh, Ajay Singh (Bablu), Rinku Kumar, Anil Kumar, Amit Kumar, Pinku Kumar, Dalip Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Kailash Kumar, Raj Singh, Sonu Kumar, Karan Singh, Bachan Singh, K.D Singh, Hem Raj, Puran Chand, Vidh Lal, Amar Nath, Divansh Sharma and Natha Singh.
