STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI/SAMBA: Police on Wednesday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing 19 bovines, however smugglers managed to escape. As per the details, a team of police headed by Incharge Police Post Teryath, SI Habib Pathan during routine patrolling spotted a smuggler carrying bovines by foot in hill top after which police team acted swiftly and launched an operation. Sensing police movement, bovine smuggler fled from the spot leaving behind eight bovines which were rescued from the spot. Police has started search to identify and nab the accused bovine smuggler while a case under relevant sections of law including 188, 295-A RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Dharamsal. Meanwhile, Samba Police district also foiled bovine smuggling bid at Malani in Ghagwal by rescuing 11 bovines. A case vide FIR No. 45/2019 under Sections 188,295 (A) RPC 2/3 PC Act registered at Police Station Ghagwal.
