RAJOURI: On the second day of Intensified Pulse Polio Immunisation (IPPI) Drive, 16,984 children in targeted age group were administered the polio vaccine in 6 medical blocks of the district. With this the total tally of children given vaccination has risen upto 102193 with 94.57% achievement.
On the second day, house to house vaccination and vaccination at transit points was conducted by teams comprising of health officials, ASHA and Anganwari Workers with special focus on high risk areas such as slums, brick kiln and nomadic population. Supervisory-cum-coordinating teams comprising of revenue and health officials were also deputed to various areas to keep a watch on the ongoing drive for its effective implementation.
