JAMMU: Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Jammu is going to celebrate Parents Worship Day on 14th February instead of Valentine’s Day.
This was disclosed by Secretary of the Sabha, Sat Paul Singh Rathore during a press conference here on Tuesday. “The function shall be organized on 14th February at Geeta Bhawan, Parade on the eve of Matra-Pitra Poojan Diwas (Parents Worship Day),” Sat Paul Singh tld reporters.
Instead of confronting this wind of Valentine Day, Pujya Sant Shri Asharam Bapuji has started a campaign of celebrating “Parents Worship Day” for the last seven years with an objective of reviving high traits of Indian culture, he said. “If the child pays obeisance to the parents knowing them to be equal of God as per scriptural ordinance, the parents too will bless the child and shower kindness and affection on him or her and the boys and girls of the country will become great,” he said.
Jagdish Dogra, President of the Sabha, appealed to all Biradaris, social, political, religious organisations to come forward to eradicate this evil of society jointly so that the coming generation will not suffer in future.
Others present were Jagdish Sharma Vice President of the Sabha and Vikas Gupta organizer of this event.
