STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA: Police on Saturday foiled bovine smuggling bid after arresting a bovine smuggler and rescuing 14 animals at NH Tapyal. Acting on the reliable information received at Police Station Ghagwal that bovines animals are being smuggled towards Srinagar, a party of Police Station Ghagwal headed by Inspr. Susheel Kumar, SHO under the supervision of Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs. Samba during vehicle checking Naka at NH Tapyal, Ghagwal intercepted one truck (JK02AL-6095) which was coming from Kathua side and moving towards Srinagar. During checking of the said vehicle, 14 bovines were found laden in it which were rescued. The accused driver identified as Ravinder Singh, son of Amir Singh, resident of Simbal Camp, RS Pura, Jammu was arrested on the spot and a case vide FIR No. 58/2019 under section 188/RPC 2/3 PCA Act was registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started.
