State Times News UDHAMPUR: Police on Saturday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing 12 boviens and arresting three smugglers. According to SSP Rajiv Pandey Udhampur, on a tip off, a police party led by SHO Udhampur Vijay Choudhary under the supervision of Addl. SP Rajinder Singh Katoch, Dy SP Rohit Chadgal laid a Naka at Sangoor Chowk in Udhampur and during checking of Tata Mobiles van (JK19-6928 and JK02AV-8576) police found it laden with 12 bovines which were rescued. The three smugglers identified as Junaid Kasana, son of Gulam Nabi, resident of Kashmir, Aslam, son of Alam Shah, resident of Ramban and Mohd Yousaf, son of Mohd Hussain, resident of Bathindi Jammu were arrested and two cases vide FIR No. 160 and 161/2019 under sections 188 RPC/ 3PCA were registered against them.
