STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA: Police on Sunday foiled bovine smuggling bid by rescuing 12 bovines and arresting two smugglers. According to a report, as per reliable sources, a party of Police Station Ghgawal headed by SI Bansi Lal Sharma SHO laid Naka on Jammu Pathankot National Highway near Tapyal and intercepted a truck (JK02AB- 8179) which was coming from Kathua side. During checking of the vehicle, police found 12 bovines laden in it which were rescued. Police also arrested driver of the truck and his associate who were as identified as Zaffer Iqbal son of Salam Din resident of Paroadi Tehsil Budal district Rajouri and Ali Mohd son of Noor Din resident of Kot Chalwal Tehsil Bakori district Rajouri. A case vide FIR No 117/2018 under section 188 RPC 2/3 PCA Act was registered against them in Police Station Ghagwal.
